Shá Cage

Co-Artistic Director

SHA CAGE (she/her) is a renaissance artist who writes, directs, produces and  acts in theater and film. She has been called a change-maker and one of the leading artists of her generation. Her work has taken her across the U.S. to Japan, Africa, England, Bosnia and Canada. Her directing credits are extensive and include the recent staging of the Jungle Theater's A Jumping Off Point. She was seen last on stage as Hermione in Ten Thousand Things Winter’s Tale and Lady Capulet in The Guthrie Theater’s Romeo and Juliet. Her published writings appear in Blues Vision, Locker Room Talk, Home and the anthology A Moment of Silence which she edited. Film credits include leading shorts and  narrative features including Jasmine is a Star, 39 Seconds; The John Donaldson Story, The Guthrie Theater’s Dickens Holiday Classic and Ten Thousand Things Handprints. Sha is an ensemble member of L.A. based Cornerstone Theater Company and the 2021 SDC inaugural Lloyd Richards New Futures Fellow. She has led equity and racial justice work in community through Tru Ruts and Catalyst Arts for more than 20 years and joined Full Circle Theater as Co-Artistic Director in 2024.
